Courthouses throughout Alberta will be opening their doors to the public in celebration of Law Day – an initiative of the Canadian Bar Association with support from the Alberta Law Foundation.
Medicine Hat Law Day will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Provincial Court Building.
It's a fun-filled day of events for the whole family. There will be guided tours of the historic Court of Queen’s Bench building (11:30 AM and 1:30 PM). This year, the children’s mock trial is R. v. Alice in Wonderland (10:15 AM and 12:30 PM). There will be exhibits and demonstrations ongoing throughout the day – check out the Medicine Hat Police Service K-9 demonstration at 11:00 AM and again at 1:00 PM. Numerous service vehicles will be on display along River Road. The Court Holding Cells and the Law Library will be open to the public all day.
All events are Free of charge!
